At the same time, it is important to be properly trained and qualified. This is not a skill that is easily self-taught.The best preparation is to take web design courses. A course in web design should teach you how to use the most common development programs, such as Front Page and Dreamweaver. It should also teach you some skills in hand-coding HTML. It is interesting that a web designer has to be both technical and artistic. Web design courses will therefore include plenty of exposure to traditional graphic design principles, including theories of design and color; layout practices, and typography.
